A bit outta touch

Hopah! It's a kind thing to be back in the midst of the land of electricity and I'm something of the notion that I ought apologize for my sudden and lengthy absence.

But that's a load of crap.

Life is what it is as well as circumstance and I got saddled with a blessing that would have Mike Rowe crawling in tears at his mother's hem. (Dockers' rather than skirt as Rowe was spawned from nothing shy of the brokeback of a roughneck and a cattle man.) Now don't get me wrong in things as it's hardly the first Stygian pit that I've swilled through for cash, having been one of the State's wards and rented out by the county for the yearly tidy in the pens at the fairgrounds. But this one was so beyond the pale that I've got little in mind but to take a bath in stink-pretty and crawl inside a garment bag until I can be accepted again as a proper member of polite society.

Right down to it though, status is second place to ignorance and I'd love to sorely cure my absence from the news cycle more than find bliss in a vinyl closet of parfumed Frenchness; even newspapers having been hard of late to come by. But for all that I think I'm worse off for catching up on Weiner's peener than I was otherwise.

Nor has any of the nonsense recent over Libya been helped by Boehner unzipping his trou and swinging around with his namesake. I'm hardly current and I hope someone's put forward what I haven't yet seen:

Is the AUMF valid of not?

If it is not then both of Presidents Obama and Bush The Deuce -- as well as all service members that follow orders like a good drones -- are traitors and should be hung like the dogs that they are. And if it is valid then Obama -- as well as all the sevice members that follow orders like a good drones -- are aiding and abetting the enemy by the actions involvubg Libya, thus Traitors, and should be hung like the dogs that they are.

I've my own point of opinion on which is which that is entirely irrelevant to consequence. Fuck Bush. The only answer under Law is to swing Jughead Rex by his neck from a branch alongside all those good Southron Boys that followed suit in whichever treasonous affair you choose. Which isn't to say that we shouldn't hang a white Yale cheerleader alongside Her Majesty's half-black fellow so it doesn't seem too antebellum; but that it makes not a difference to Law or melanin what the proper outcome is for the current occupant of the White-house.

Or there is no law.

There is convenience of course. But in accepting our own convenience we have denied the propriety of things. We have denied Mister Rowe's matron to crawl inside a garment bag for the sake of fantasies of how things ought be rather than how they are.

I've been back in town long enough but my boots still stink far past the heel; as they should. How hard are those you know abusing their own with a stiff brush?

We missed you. What malodorous work have you been doing?

Glad to see you back.

And I'm also curious as to what you've been doing that would make even someone highly paid to stand around in stinky places, blanch.

Good to see y'all around still.

Been doing a job Americans won't do. Lots to do with the wrong side of livestock but the problem was the condition of things and equipment. The days started with "There oughta be a law" and then self-flagellation with a coal shovel for the utterance. I'll just leave it at that.

At least it wasn't human waste!

What a load of crap indeed.

I live in an agricultural area, and I like working outside. I'm not saying that I want to actually shovel the stuff, but most of that is done by machine nowadays.

We have a saying in SD, probably stolen from Wisconsin. "Enjoy our dairy air".

Another day, another blog post to marinate upon.
